‘Gaudete’ New CD – Enjoy a taste of Tenebrae - 15.10.04

[CD Pre-release: ‘Gaudete’] October 2004 SignumClassics

Arranged by Classic FM’s Hall of Fame 2004 ‘top-ten-composer’ Karl Jenkins, and sung by crack professional choir, Tenebrae, ‘Gaudete’ is released this October on SignumClassics, both with percussion and as a pure a cappella version. Also on this disc is Alexander L’Estrange’s arrangement of Pachelbel’s ‘Canon’ and his spine-tingling version of Faure’s romantic ‘Après un rêve’ which will surely become an all-time favourite. Sir John Tavener’s haunting, mesmeric ‘The Lamb’ is included, with an excerpt of a piece written especially for Tenebrae ‘Mother and Child’. And to close the recording, a special kind of applause from Steve Reich.
