Tenebrae join forces with the LSO - 6.11.06

This December, Tenebrae will join forces with the London Symphony Orchestra in their ‘Choral Blockbusters’ series for performances of ‘L’Enfance du Christ’ by Berlioz and Handel’s ‘Messiah’.

On Sunday 3rd December Tenebrae singers will join soloists Karen Cargill, William Dazeley, Ian Bostridge, Mathew Rose and Peter Rose at the Barbican for a 19h30 performance of L’Enfance du Christ in the choir’s debut performance with the LSO and Sir Colin Davis.

Then, on the 10th and 12th December at 19h00, Tenebrae can again be heard performing Handel’s ‘Messiah with Sir Colin Davis and the LSO, this time with soloists Susan Gritton, Sara Mingardo, Mark Padmore and Alistair Miles.

About the Choral Blockbuster Series the LSO says:
‘Powerful, noisy, mysterious, dazzling – choral music at its best is an unstoppable force. There are few places where that fact is better appreciated than in this country, and few musicians better equipped to stir the blood with the magnificence of the choral-and-orchestral soundworld than Sir Colin Davis who conducts these mouth-watering concerts.’
