Tenebrae performs a poignant sequence of Renaissance choral works, opening with Tallis’ If ye love me. Performed regularly by choirs of all shapes and sizes, this simple motet is perhaps one of the most well-loved in the repertoire, but until now hasn’t featured in Tenebrae’s recording output: we hope you will enjoy our interpretation of this miniature masterpiece. The programme also includes Byrd’s iconic Ne irascaris Domine, the text of which is achingly apt for the present time. While Byrd was lamenting the fate of Catholics in a newly Protestant England, today we find our cities deserted and forlorn as we struggle to bring the COVID-19 pandemic under control. The programme concludes with Taedet anima mea, the opening movement of Victoria’s Requiem Mass, 1605, also featured on Tenebrae’s award-winning recording of the same name.

How do I purchase a ticket?
To purchase a ticket to a Tenebrae Unlocked performance, visit our online shop and select the film you would like to watch. On the film pages you will be given the option to purchase a single ticket or a series ticket. Select the one you want, and either continue browsing our other films and recordings or, if you are ready to pay, navigate to checkout via the shopping cart icon in the top-right corner of our website.
Please do consider making a donation if you are able – Tenebrae is a registered charity, and depends upon the generosity of individuals to deliver concerts, recordings and outreach work.
When you are ready, click the button to checkout. You will be prompted to sign in if you already have an account with Tenebrae, or to create an account if you don't. Setting up an account is simple, and you will be guided it through it step by step. Once you are signed in, complete the rest of the checkout process.
When your purchase is successfully completed, your film will be available to watch on the Your Films page in your account. If you purchased a season ticket, then the films will appear on this page as and when they are released.
How long do I have to watch my film?
A single ticket entitles you to 30 days’ access. You can watch the film as much as you like during this window, and you will be able to skip and rewind if you want to listen again to certain pieces. After 30 days the ticket will expire and you will no longer be able to watch the film – but if you love it you can always purchase a new ticket!
Series ticket holders will have 30 days’ access to all four Tenebrae Unlocked films.
