Tenebrae is considered as one of the world’s leading vocal ensembles. The choir operates as a registered charity and our achievements have only been made possible by the generosity of supporters who believe in our innovative work. We are continuously grateful for their support.
You, too, can play an essential role in supporting Tenebrae’s award-winning artistic programme and choral development initiatives whilst developing a closer relationship with the choir, through our Individual Giving and Corporate Club schemes.
From as little at £3 per month, your contribution can help to support exceptional young emerging professional singers through our Associate Artists programme, alongside developing new audiences and promoting outstanding British choral music across the UK and internationally through concerts, tours, commissions and recordings.
We are always eager to engage with our donors and are delighted to be able to offer you opportunities to see the benefits of your kind support through invitations to rehearsals, concerts, recording days and exclusive ‘behind the scenes’ opportunities.
Donate to support Tenebrae’s Holy Week Festival at St John’s Smith Square
Tenebrae’s Holy Week Festival (9-15 April 2017), the first of its kind, aims to engage new audiences with performances of sacred choral music of the highest quality and explore the significance of Holy Week.
Tenebrae is partnering with one of London’s leading music venues, St John’s Smith Square, to create a festival of seventeen events over seven days that will explore a vast range of music in celebration of Holy Week including:
- workshops and Come and Sing events for those eager to learn more about singing and improve their ensemble skills
- 3 free liturgical events with music led by Tenebrae Consort, open for all to attend
- 13 lunchtime and evening concerts featuring leading, professional artists such as Tenebrae, Aurora Orchestra, VOCES8, the BBC Singers, Polyphony, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, and more…
How you can help?
A donation will help Tenebrae and St John’s Smith Square reach out to new audiences, enabling us to introduce them to the arts as well as keeping the community events accessible for all, in particular, the late-night liturgical events which will remain free to attend.
