Operations Assistant (part-time, 3 days per week *)

Over the past few years Tenebrae has grown significantly, and our plans for the future remain ambitious. We are now seeking a part-time Operations Assistant to support our existing management team in the day-to-day running of the charity, joining us for the equivalent of 3 days per week on a flexible basis *. The successful candidate will be highly organised, efficient, and willing to assist with a broad range of tasks. Working closely with the General Manager and Artistic Director, they will help to ensure the efficient running of Tenebrae’s practical operations, and from time to time might also provide assistance to the Concerts Manager and Development Manager. They will have strong people skills and be able to communicate diplomatically with a range of people at all levels. Some experience in the arts would be preferable but is not essential. In order to apply, please email your CV and a cover letter detailing your suitability for the role to Lizzy Holsgrove: [email protected]. Applications must be received by no later than 9am on Monday 6th February 2023. Interviews will take place on Monday 13th or Tuesday 14th February. Please indicate in your email if you are unavailable and we will endeavour to find another time.

* At present we are also recruiting for a part-time Learning & Connection Producer to join our team for 2 days per week. A full job description is available via the listing below. We would be happy to consider combining these two roles to create one full-time position which would provide a broad range of experience across administration and production. If this is of interest to you then please contact Alexandra Davies ([email protected]) to discuss this further.

Learning & Connection Producer (part-time, 2 days per week *)

We are currently looking to expand our team with the newly created role of Learning & Connection Producer, joining us for the equivalent of 2 days per week on a flexible basis *. In 2022 we launched Singing Schools, a major new learning programme through which Tenebrae works regularly with a number of partner primary schools in the London borough of Ealing. Singing Schools now sits alongside our Choral Development Partnerships with London Youth Choir and Music Centres London, our Associate Artist programme for young professional singers, and our ongoing series of community choral workshops, enabling us to provide inspiring singing opportunities for people from a wide range of backgrounds.

This is an exciting time to join Tenebrae as we continue to expand our work in this area and seek to become a sector leader. The successful candidate will lead on the planning and delivery of all our Learning & Connection activities, with the scope to contribute new ideas which will deepen our impact and widen our reach. Auditions

Tenebrae is proud to bring together some of the world’s best professional singers and musicians. We hold auditions for prospective Associate Artists at least once a year. Applicants will only be considered if they have the right to work in the UK and are singing professionally, or intend to embark on a professional singing career (for example, singers in their final year at university or music college). This page will be updated the next time applications open.
