Associate Artists Anniversary Concert

This very special performance at Wigmore Hall in January 2027 will mark the 10th anniversary of Tenebrae’s Associate Artists programme. Performed by a choir of current and former Associate Artists, this concert celebrates one of the most important strands of Tenebrae’s work with emerging professionals.

Over the past ten years, the Associate Artist programme has grown into a highly respected fellowship that supports exceptional young singers at a pivotal stage in their careers. Participants receive first‑class training, regular mentoring, and the chance to hone their craft through extensive performance and recording opportunities with Tenebrae – experiences that have proved transformative for so many musicians’ development. The programme’s success is reflected in the achievements of its alumni: many now enjoy flourishing international careers, performing with leading ensembles, at major festivals, and in world‑renowned concert halls. Their journeys speak powerfully to the programme’s impact, demonstrating how dedicated support, professional immersion and meaningful artistic mentorship can shape a singer’s trajectory.

The concert programme features music by French composers including Ravel, Debussy and Duruflé, as well as the UK premiere of a work by the French-British composer and former Tenebrae soprano, Josephine Stephenson.
