We are thrilled to return to Wells Cathedral in Somerset – presenting our iconic flagship piece live in concert.
Path of Miracles was commissioned by Tenebrae in 2005, and quickly gained popularity with choirs and audiences around the world. The piece is based on the most enduring route of Catholic pilgrimage – the great Pilgrimage to Santiago. The four movements are titled with the names of the four main staging posts of the ‘Camino Frances’ – the central axis of a network of pilgrimage routes to Santiago. This is a unique, dramatic work (“an evocative odyssey” – The Times).
Tenebrae begins this concert with Owain Park’s Footsteps, commissioned to allow children’s choirs to sing alongside Tenebrae. It is performed here with the choristers of Wells Cathedral.
