For around 50 years throughout his creative period, Anton Bruckner wrote spectacular sacred choral works, making a unique contribution to sacred music and influencing its development well into the 20th century. We are delighted to take part in the International Bruckner Festival this year, performing four exemplary a cappella motets by Bruckner, including the late Virga Jesse floruit. The concert also includes music by Heinrich Kaminski, Paul Hindemith, György Ligeti and Arvo Pärt, who can all trace their musical roots back to Bruckner.

Tenebrae score on all counts. They submit with impressive stamina and unfailing intonation to Bruckner’s instrumental scoring and phrasing” – Gramophone Magazine
