The gauzy, sensuous soundscape of Ravel’s pastoral ballet meets Wynton Marsalis’ jazz-inflected Trumpet Concerto.

Tenebrae joins forces with Sir Antonio Pappano and the London Symphony Orchestra in Ravel’s Daphnis and Chloé: a ballet about ancient Greece for a Russian dance company. The result was music of fluid, diaphanous beauty, a languid drama of danger and desire.

“My intention was to compose a vast musical fresco … faithful to the Greece of my dreams” – Ravel on Daphnis and Chloé
