Tenebrae brings its trademark passion and precision to Handel’s biblical epic – Messiah – and we are thrilled to be joined by the Academy of Ancient Music in this very special performance of this Christmas staple.

Whether in sorrow or celebration, anguish or awestruck wonder, the libretto carries the musical drama in these mighty tableaux of prophecy and a humble birth, of Christ’s death, resurrection, and the life of the world to come. The nimble, rich-toned orchestral forces of the Academy of Ancient Music provide a superb complement to Tenebrae, in what promises to be a spectacular afternoon performance.
