Join Tenebrae in Gothenburg Cathedral for the Gothenburg Organ Festival’s opening ceremony and concert. With extracts from Tenebrae’s programme A Prayer for Deliverance, and additions featuring the Cathedral’s organ, the varied programme will feature some of the most exciting composers of today and yesteryear. Joel Thompson’s virtuosic new work A Prayer for Deliverance is a particular highlight of the programme: written for 15 vocal parts, itperfectly showcases Tenebrae’s core values of passion and precision. Herbert Howells’ Requiem also features, and is surely one of the most moving works in the English choral repertoire.
