Experience an unforgettable evening as Tenebrae presents a programme spanning Renaissance masterworks, contemporary reflections, and timeless sacred gems. The concert opens with luminous Lassus and plainchant, followed by radiant works from Philip Moore, Caroline Shaw, Owain Park, and Joanna Marsh. Christian Forshaw’s atmospheric reimagining of Gibbons leads seamlessly to Allegri’s iconic Miserere. After the interval, John Tavener’s meditative Funeral Ikos sets the tone for music by Marsh, Rachmaninov, and Chesnokov, culminating in James MacMillan’s powerful Miserere and Holst’s transcendent Nunc dimittis. A journey of devotion, contemplation, and choral excellence.
