We have had a wonderful afternoon at our inaugural composition competition final, Undiscovered Voices, at Wigmore Hall. We were joined by internationally renowned composers Jason Max Ferdinand, Joanna Marsh and Cecilia McDowall as our jury, and Tenebrae directed by Nigel Short performed the six finalists’ pieces. It was a brilliant afternoon, filled with new music, interesting ideas, and the joy of sharing, and we are delighted to announce the winners:
First Place – Sarah Henderson with Wanderers
Second Place – Cassie White with travel lines
Third Place – Aaron Nihal King with I Walked Across Two Languages
Congratulations also go to our other finalists; Olly Bowes, James Jones, and James Woodhall.
Undiscovered Voices is the first event in our 25th Anniversary celebrations. Read more about our plans for the 2026-27 season, and how we will be celebrating this milestone.
