The Lord Mayor of the City of London played host to a celebration of English music in Mansion House last night. Tenebrae, along with Sarah Connolly mezzo soprano and James Sherlock accompanist, performed a selection of music by some of England’s finest composers, including Vaughan Williams, Holst, Purcell and Gurney. Set in the staggeringly beautiful surrounds of the Egyptian Room, the room allowed attendees to see and hear Tenebrae in a much more intimate surrounding than their usual concert venues.
