The March edition of BBC Music magazine reviews the best-available versions of Allegri’s Miserere. We are delighted that Tenebrae is amongst the recordings chosen. Described as being a ‘sumptuously recorded’, it goes on to say ‘Nigel Short’s choir may contain some individual star names, they blend excellently as a group. The result is a gutsy, but never coarse, choral sound, complemented by first rate soloists headed by Grace Davidson.
