Tenebrae in special tribute track

Posted on 21st January 2011

We have recently enjoyed working with the saxophonist Raphael Ravenscroft, world famous for his solo on Gerry Rafferty’s Baker Street album. As a tribute to Gerry, who died recently, we have together produced a track called “Forgiveness” which uses Alonso Lobo’s funeral anthem Versa est in Luctum, alongside Raphael’s playing. The result was played exclusively on Classic FM, and you can now buy the track from iTunes. This is the first of many anticipated projects with Raphael. Work has recently started on a new project called “The Three Graces”, which will be recorded within the next year. The Lobo motet on “Forgiveness” will appear without the saxophone in our new album, released in April this year by Signum Records, containing Victoria’s Requiem and Lobo’s Lamentations.
