Third Culture Collective is a social and musical venture, seeking to make western classical music more accessible to the next generation of British Asians and aiming to inspire Western musicians to experiment with South Asian sounds.

Together, Tenebrae and Third Culture Collective have begun workshopping and developing a new sound-world, all with the aim of achieving One Voice– a seamless soundscape of western choir, soaring Hindustani vocals, and resonant textures of sitar, bansuri, tabla, and harmonium. To experience the outcome of these workshops, join us at the Barbican Centre on 6 April, as part of the Darbar Festival. It has been hugely exciting to watch the two traditions of Western choral and Indian classical music coming together to celebrate One Voice: Guru Nanak’s Message of Unity in Choir and Raag.
