Our album A Prayer for Deliverance has been nominated for the BBC Music Magazine 2026 Choral Award! The award is decided by public vote, and we would so appreciate it if you could help us win. The album was recorded at Ampleforth Abbey at Ryedale Festival in July 2024, and features compositions by Holst, Cecilia McDowall, Francis Pott, Caroline Shaw, Rodney Bennett, Vaughan Williams, Joel Thompson, Tavener, Pearsall, Sullivan, Howells, Harris and Joanna Marsh. This is a really exciting opportunity for us, and we would love your support to help us win!
“This is a very special record from Nigel Short’s Tenebrae. Built around a compelling contemporary setting of Psalm 13, the programme explores the ‘thresholds of light and darkness… and a longing for rest’, with performances from the ensemble that ‘unleash full-blooded passion without a trace of vulgarity.’ ”
