Tenebrae is a dedicated advocate for contemporary composers having worked with Judith Bingham, Ola Gjeilo, Alexander L’Estrange, Alexander Levine, Paul Mealor, Owain Park, Hilary Tann, Sir John Tavener, Joby Talbot and Will Todd, in addition to a recent release of music by Paweł Łukaszewski. The choir is renowned for its highly-acclaimed interpretations of choral music with repertoire ranging from hauntingly passionate works of the Renaissance through to contemporary choral masterpieces. Torsten Rasch – A Foreign Field Psalm (2018)
Rasch’s oratorio A Foreign Field was commissioned by the Three Choirs Festival in 2014. A Foreign Field Psalm is a stand-alone choral piece which was written during the compositional process for the oratorio and was premiered by Tenebrae at the Three Choirs Festival in Hereford Cathedral in July 2018.
