‘LOCUS ISTE’ CHOIR COMPETITION
In association with Classic FM and generously sponsored by Edition Peters Ltd., Tenebrae was delighted to launch a competition which allows one talented and lucky choir to be invited to perform Bruckner’s ‘Locus Iste’ with Tenebrae in the concert on Thursday 12th November. Choirs were invited to submit a simple audio recording of ‘Locus Iste’ which was judged by Tenebrae’s Artistic Director, Nigel Short. Here is an exclusive recording of the piece from Tenebrae’s recently released album:
Applications are now closed. Tenebrae will be joined in concert by the winners of the competition, The Epiphoni Consort. Nigel Short adds, “It was hugely enjoyable to listen to all the competition entries! There were many excellent interpretations demonstrating the astonishingly high standard of choral singing throughout the UK and we are delighted to be celebrating that talent with The Epiphoni Consort on November 12th.” You can listen to their winning entry here.
